'இது என் டைப் படம் இல்லை. இப்போது என்னால் உங்களுக்குப் படம் செய்ய முடியாது’ என்று அவரிடம் நேரில் சொல்லச் சென்றேன்.
நான் சொன்னதைக் கேட்ட அடுத்த கணமே போனில் ராதா, அம்பிகா இருவரின் கால்ஷீட்டுகளையும் கேன்சல் செய்துவிட்டு, எனக்காகக் காத்திருப்பதாகச் சொன்னார். வேண்டாம் என்று சொல்லச் சென்ற நான், என்னை அறியாமல் 'இதய கோயில்’ படத்தில் சிக்கிக்கொண்ட கதை இது. இளையராஜாவின் இசை படத்தை ஓரளவு காப்பாற்றியது.
குறிப்பாக, 'நான் பாடும் மௌன ராகம்...’ பாடலைக் காட்சிப்படுத்தியபோது 'பியாஷா’ குருதத்துக்கு அஞ்சலி செலுத்துவதாக உணர்ந்தேன். அந்தப் பாடல்தான் 'மௌன ராகம்’ என்ற என் அடுத்த மெகா ஹிட் படத்துக்கான டைட்டிலைத் தந்தது. மற்றபடி என்னுடைய மிக மோசமான படம் 'இதய கோயில்’!” என்று மணி ரத்னம் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.
கோவைத் தம்பி குமுதத்தில் மணியை...
ராமர், சீதை, ராவணன் என்ற கதாபாத்திரம் வைத்து படம் எடுக்கமால் கமல், மணி, முக்தா, கோவை படம் எடுத்தால் சுவாரஸியமாக இருக்கும் போல இருக்கு!

It is a fact that Mother Land Pictures and Kovai Thambi were household names in early eithties when ManiRatnam was nowere around the corner.
One can understand the grievances of KLovai Thambi.
You cannot expect decency from certain quarters. So, let Mohterland's son digest this episode.
May be it is money precious stone and not 'good precious stone".
