பத்தாம் வகுப்பில் 474 மதிப்பெண் பெற்ற மயான வெட்டியான் மகன் தனசேகரபாண்டியன் மேல்படிப்புக்கு வழியின்றி தவிக்கிறார்.மதுரை பாக்கியநாதபுரத்தை சேர்ந்த பாண்டி, தத்தனேரி மயானத்தில் உதவியாளராக பணியாற்றுகிறார். இவரது மகன் தனசேகர பாண்டியன், கனகவேல் காலனி ஹோலி ஏஞ்சல் மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளியில் படித்து வருகிறார்.
10ம் வகுப்பு பொதுத் தேர்வில் இவரது மார்க் விபரம்:தமிழ்-94, ஆங்கிலம்- 89, கணிதம்-100, அறிவியல்-98, சமூகஅறிவியல்- 98.
வறுமை குடும்பம்: தந்தை பாண்டி தத்தனேரி சுடுகாட்டில் வெட்டியான் உதவியாளராக பணியாற்றுகிறார். குடும்ப வறுமையால் பாண்டி மேல்படிப்புக்கு செல்ல முடியவில்லை. பள்ளி முதல்வர் தாமஸ் கிறிஸ்டோபர் கூறுகையில், அனைத்து வகுப்புகளிலும் தனசேகர பாண்டியன் முதலிடம் பெறுவார். எனவே அவருக்கு வகுப்பாசிரியை இந்திரா உட்பட ஆசிரியர்கள் சிறப்பு கவனம் எடுத்தனர். மாவட்ட ராங்க் பெறாவிட்டாலும்,
பள்ளியில் முதலிடம் பெற்றுவிட்டார்'' என்றார்.
தந்தை பாண்டி கூறுகையில், "வேறெந்த வருமானமும் இல்லாத நிலையில், வருவாய் போதவில்லையென்றாலும் எனது மகன், மகள்களை கஷ்டப்பட்டு படிக்க வைத்து வருகிறேன். எனது மகன் நல்ல மதிப்பெண் பெற்றதாக ஆசிரியர்கள் கூறுகின்றனர். ஆனால் மேலும் படிக்க வைக்க வழியில்லை. எனது மகன் நன்கு படிப்பார் என்பதால் எனது தொழிலில் ஒருபோதும் அவரது உதவியை நாடியதில்லை'' என்றார்.
தனசேகர பாண்டியன் கூறுகையில், உயர்கல்வியில் மருத்துவத் துறையை தேர்வு செய்ய விரும்புகிறேன். ஆனால் பிளஸ்2 படிப்பே கேள்விக்குறியாகிவிடும் போல உள்ளதுஎன்றார். இவருக்கு உதவ விரும்பினால், "217, அந்தோணியார் கோயில் குறுக்குத் தெரு, பாக்கியநாதபுரம், தத்தனேரி, மதுரை-18' என்ற முகவரிக்கு தொடர்பு கொள்ளலாம். பள்ளி முதல்வரை 94430 20125 ல் அழைக்கலாம்.

மேல்நிலைக் கல்வி வரை அனைவருக்கும் கட்டாயமாக இலவசமாக கொடுக்க வேண்டும்! கல்வியின் தரத்தை அதிகரிக்க வேண்டும்! எல்லா சமுதாயத்திலும் உள்ள பணக்காரர்கள் அடுத்தவருக்கு வழி விட்டு தங்கள் குழந்தைகளுக்கு தங்கள் பணத்தில் படிக்க வசதி செய்து கொடுத்தால், எல்லாக் குழந்தைகளும் நல்ல தரமான கல்வி கிடைக்க வழி பிறக்கும்! குறைந்த பட்சம் நம் நண்பர்களாவது, இதை கடை பிடித்தால் நல்லது!

My question may be idiotic... but there has to be some clarity when you put down such obligation..
Is he not eligible under any existing scholarships???

The School is Good Sheperd Matriculation Hr Secondary School, the name of the contact person is Smiles. He is the son of the corrospondant and he is taking care of the school. As said earlier, Financial Aid for Pandian until 12th Std is secured and we can pitch in when he needs help for his college Education (provided he scores over 85% in 12th). The email ID of the school is gsmhss_84@yahoo.co.in.
Smiles claims that the school is being run with service motivation. He further claims that there are few students like Pandian who are doing well in studies and need financial support. I am working on confirming the claims made by Smiles using bloggers like Dharumi. Request the readers of Idly vadai to gather information about this school and share.
Let us all come to a common ground under the flagship of IDLY VADAI and adopt the poor children of this school (provided the claims are true and they are not charging exorbitant fee). We can make a representation to the school and request them to charge 50% of the fee for the poor kids and we can try to pay that 50%.
Please let me know your views on this
